Assessment Check

EQUIPMENT
- Camera
- Tripod
- Computer

When our group works with the camera in our shooting we have to make sure that the battery is connected in the camera correctly so we don't damage it permanently and delaying our shooting schedule. When bringing the tripod to the location and carrying it around on the shooting days we have to make sure that it is carried carefully so it doesn't get damaged or dropped, because if it receives any degree of damage it will ruin our chances of shooting clean shots because it holds the camera steady when we film. Also, when we travel from one shooting location to another we have to make sure that the camera isn't connected to the tripod when it is carried around so it doesn't catch on anything or gets dropped so it damages both of them.

To make sure of our health and safety when we film we have to make sure that the camera and tripod are set up properly for the shoots therefore we won't catch ourselves or get hit by the equipment and hurt ourselves. Also, when we work with the computer for the e-mails scenes, we have to make sure everything is connected correctly, and the wires are not tangled up so it avoids us falling over or getting electrocuted.

Recce Check

The locations we are using for our film are:
- Abbi's house (for the office and the family home)
- Graveyard
- The Beach
- Redcar High Street
- Redcar Morrisons

Most of the locations in Redcar where I live so I am very familiar with these locations in my everyday life therefore our group are aware of how the location is set therefore we know how to work within it to capture the appropriate shots when we are filming. Due to the times we are shooting on the 10th March it may be difficult to film outside in locations such as the park and the high street due to lack of lighting therefore we may not have clear shots. The only way we can work around that is shoot the outside locations first so we have light before the natural light starts to get dark. Another issue we may have for our outside locations may depend on the weather because if it is windy on the days we shoot outside there might be issues with sound because if it's windy the dialogue may not be clear.

However, for our inside locations they will be easy to work around because there will be plenty of lighting for our shots so they can be very clear and easy to edit for the final film. There is also no wind or excessing noise inside therefore there will be no issues with sound so our dialogue can be very clear and easy to hear. The inside location will be also be able to film because there is electrical equipment like a computer there so we can use it for the scenes where Elle is reading her e-mails.

Possession Mindmap

Our original idea was to produce a horror film aimed at teenagers. This fell through however when we went to film and none of the shots were usable in the editing process and the weather was too unpredictable to film outside. This left me and Abbi with 4 weeks to create a new film when we came up with the simple, yet effective Love You Always idea. This is the original planning for "Possession".
